Grant Competition for CSOs Promoting fair presidential elections of 2013
Program: Open Society Georgia Foundation Human Rights and Good Governance Program Mainstream: Elections Terms: deadline for submitting grant proposals is August 1, 2013, 4:00 p.m. Criterion/requirement: applicant organization should have experience in observing at least 2 elections or practice in fulfillment of projects oriented on voters' education. Ceiling budget per project shouldn't exceed 30 000 USD. Goal of the grant competition is to ramp up and promote the role of CSOs in processes connected to the 2013 presidential elections, improve pre-election environment. OSGF will finance several best projects oriented on: - the monitoring of pre-election processes ongoing in the country and prevention of violations; improvement of pre-election environment; - the monitoring of compliance with statutory procedures, voting and vote counting processes on election day and post-election period; - the extension of voters' knowledge and raising awareness of citizens about presidential elections through applying breakthrough approaches. In the selection process OSGF will grant priority to the projects that are not financed by other donor organizations operating in Georgia and do not duplicate activities carrying out by other CSOs.
