Project outline:

The project is being implemented by OSGF Human Rights and Good Governance Program.

In 2011 within the program strategy it is envisaged to conduct a research aimed at the identification of organizations working on issues of people with disabilities in Georgia and create a database; review their activities/services, priorities, capacities, identify basic problems, describe future mainstreams, analyze their needs, resources, existing partnership relations and capacities.

Based on the research conducted OSGF will announce a call for proposals aimed at the promotion of integration of people with disabilities and protection of their rights.

The basic research group will be organizations working on issues of people with disabilities that will be split into two sub-groups: 1. unions of people with disabilities and 2. organizations oriented on the protection of rights and advocacy of interests of people with disabilities.

The research will cover both types of organizations as well as service-provider organizations/groups. Area of the research will be Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi and Telavi.
